Ford's bringing a pair of SHOs to the 2010 SEMA Show, along with a selection of custom Fiestas, Fusions, and Explorers. We've rounded up 15 of these funky Fords (and one Lincoln for good measure).

This 2011 Taurus SHO built by H&R Springs upgrades its performance with a Borla cat-back exhaust and K&N air filter and upgrades its style with H&R Sport Springs and three-piece 22-inch wheels painted in a white gold.

Ford's second SHO, dubbed the SHOx by Rick Bottom Deisgns, features custom paint, graphics, and a body kit, but what we're most interested is the 1,600 watt audio system that lurks beneath.

We'd have expected Ford to hand DJ and auto enthusiast Funkmaster Flex the keys to, well, a Ford Flex. Then he could call it the 'Funkmaster Flex Flex', or 'Funkmaster Flex Squared.' Instead, the Funkmaster and Team Baurtwell are showcasing this tastefully modded 2011 Explorer.

CGS Performance Products attempts to challenge the mighty Range Rover, taking the Explorer upscale into the luxury activity vehicle class. Nice touches include upgraded leather interior and a pair of carbon fiber bikes for the roof rack.

It wouldn't be SEMA without a few "extreme sports" themed vehicles, so we're not entirely surprised to see this orange Ford Edge by K-Daddyz Kustomz, complete with matching surfboard. Gnarly.

I've never been disappointed with the cars Galpin Auto Sports brings to their shows (including one of my favorite modified Honda Accords), so I'm excited to see this Ford Explorer by GAS in the flesh, particularly the trick second-row pop-up iPad.

Ford prominently displayed an array of customized Fiestas even before the bantamweight vehicle hit showroom floors, so its no surprise that the automaker is bringing at least eight Fiestas to the 2010 SEMA Show.

This bright green example by 3dCarbon features mostly an array of stickers and graphics, but there is a sculpted four-piece body kit that merits a second look.

This Fiesta features off-the-shelf parts from Ford's vehicle personalization program that can be purchased from authorized Ford dealers, including a four-piece body kit, a more aggressive grill treatment, and custom interior trim bits.

Likewise, this Ford Racing Fiesta will feature several upgrades from Ford's own racing skunkworks. However, the vehicle also features many non-OEM upgrades, including a 350-horsepower ecoBoost engine that's been bored out to 2.3-liters (up from 2.0) and high performing Brembo brakes.

FSWerks is bringing this cool white Fiesta to the SEMA Show. The vehicle has been fitted with an FSWerks-developed cool flow air intake system and race exhaust, along with stress bars.

Steeda's take on the Ford Fiesta is definitely one of the toughest looks in the bunch. This little chili pepper backs up its looks with handling and performance upgrades for enthusiasts, including a short-throw shifter and cold air intake developed by Steeda and tuned front and rear lowering sport springs and dampers.

UTI has fit this Fiesta with four more airbags. We're not talking about the kind that save lives during crashes, we're talking about the Air Lift full digital suspension that raises and lowers the compact car with a satisfying "PSSSHHHH" at the touch of a button.

H&R Springs is best known for its suspension components, so we expect this Fiesta is hiding an array of upgrades behind that fancy wheel and brake package.

This bright red example, built by L&G Enterprises, features circuit board-inspired graphics on the exterior and a black interior with integrated iPad command center--whatever that means.

The Hybrid configuration garners the lion's share of attention among Ford Fusions, but its slightly more high strung brother, the Fusion Sport, also merits a second look. Modified by Steeda, this Sport gets a worked over suspension with stiffer springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, and the like.

Ford plans to sell a high-performance version of the redesigned Focus compact car in the United States. The automaker will reveal the three production-ready body styles of the 2012 Ford Focus compact at the Paris auto show late this month. It also will unveil a preview model of a high-performance 250PS Focus ST. The high-performance Focus will launch in early 2012, likely as a 2013 model year.

Introduced for the 2000 model year, the Ford Focus was designed to be a "world car," meaning it has been sold around the world in the same basic form as the car sold in the United States. In order to appeal to European buyers, the Focus was tuned to provide responsive handling and communicative steering.

Since that time, Ford has gone on to introduce a second-generation Focus for European markets. America's Focus, however, has continued on relatively unchanged under the skin. As such, it hasn't been a top-tier choice for an economy car in recent years. Ford did perform a significant styling refresh for the 2008 model, however, and it's been effective enough to keep the Focus a still viable choice for a new economy car, particularly for shoppers focused mainly on value.

Several reviews say the Focus is worth a look for its low price, but not much else. "Focus feels dated and less refined compared with cars such as the Honda Civic and Nissan Versa," says Consumer Guide. Still, front-seat room and comfort impress, and pricing is competitive." While the Focus offers some innovative features, it loses points for its sluggish engine, mediocre handling and cheap-feeling interior. Reviewers criticize the Focus for these points, but respect it for its good gas mileage. Plus, Ford offers its SYNC and MyKey systems on the Focus, so you can at least get some high-tech features on what is essentially a basic commuter car.

The Ford official has announced that they will produce a limited edition 2012 Ford Boss 302 Mustang. The Boss 302 Mustang will be incorporate a refined race oriented suspension, increased horsepower near 450hp and use unique Boss Mustang exterior and interior styling. The 2012 Boss 302 Mustang will honor its race bred heritage while meeting modern standards for performance. The Mustang "Bad Boy" is back!

Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca cars are powered by the same smooth, high-winding 440-hp 5.0-liter V8 as the standard Ford Mustang Boss 302, since the engine was already tuned specifically for road racing. Instead, engineers turned their attention toward delivering power to the ground most efficiently, and getting the car around a track in the quickest possible time.

Based on the world-class foundation provided by the 2011 Mustang GT, the limited production 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 with 412 horsepower from 5.0 liters, the 2011 GT engine was already an incredible performer. But to achieve the high-rpm horsepower that would make the engine competitive on the track, a new intake was essential. The resulting runners-in-the-box plenum/velocity stack combination the engine team developed was impressive enough that it got the green light after one short drive.

Ford Racing is introducing the 2010 Ford Mustang Boss 302R, a factory-built race car ready for track days and road racing in a number of Grand-Am, SCCA and NASA classes. The Ford Mustang Boss 302R is a serialized off-road-only vehicle ready to race. Each base model will come with a 5.0-liter four-valve engine and a six-speed manual transmission with a roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers/springs, and a Brembo brake and tire package, starting at an MSRP of $79,000.

Ford’s pride: new FocusThe Ford Focus has been regarded as the entry-level car of Ford since the start of the new millennium. This front-wheel-drive model is far from luxurious but nonetheless displays a surprising amount of character from behind the wheel. Its affordable price, expressive styling and availability in multiple body styles have all contributed to making this one of Ford's most popular cars worldwide.

As a car model for the important 2000, the Ford Focus was designed to be a "world car," meaning it has been

sold around the world in the same basic form as the car sold in the United States. In order to appeal to European buyers, the Focus was tuned to provide responsive handling and communicative steering.

Ford gave the strongest hint of how its upcoming models will look when it revealed the Iosis Max at the Geneva Motor Show last month (see Issue 1,053). And it’s from this car that the new Focus takes much of its styling inspiration.

The hatch gets a sleek new front end, with a large lower grille and elongated headlights. Bold lines run from the edges of the grille to the A-pillars.

At the rear, there are further nods to the Iosis MAX, with a high tail, angular C-pillars and eye-catching lights. Chunky wheelarches and short overhangs finish the look and give the newcomer a muscular stance. According to insiders, a panoramic glass roof will also be available. Inside, expect a toned-down version of the concept’s striking cabin, with a new centre console boasting an improved version of Ford’s Human Machine Interface control system. Options will include a reversing camera.

Under the skin is a fresh development of the current car’s chassis, so it’s unlikely the new model will grow much in size. Emphasis will be put on ride and refinement, without sacrificing the sharp steering and driver appeal for which the Focus has become famous.

New turbocharged EcoBoost engines dominate the line-up. Entry-level models will come with a 1.0-litre four-cylinder turbo unit offering 89bhp or 108bhp, but most variants will get a new 1.6-litre turbo, available with 148bhp or 178bhp outputs.

The 2010 Fusion and the like may be the last series for Ford sedans to apply architecture developed by Mazda.

An architecture is a series of components and systems and can be used as basic component and various vehicles.

Ford incredibly forgot to design its own midsize models, so turned its talk with Mazda for midsize help. From that time on, Ford has turned its European engineering center as its global center for developing midsize, compact and subcompact cars.

Obviously, the replacement for Ford of Europe's Mondeo would use the similar architecture, and much of the styling as the coming generation of the Fusion.

Ford has already decline its share in Mazda, though they still keeps close relationship with each other. The next Mazda 6 would use the Mondeo's architecture, but not decided yet.

Americans would feel proud that they developed the most fuel efficient midsize sedan by their own. Since the 2010 Fusion Hybrid has already passed the fuel efficiency testing by the EPA, it win the Toyota Camry Hybrid on distance covering per gallon, by 2 mpg in the city and 8 miles to the gallon in the city.

The EPA is rated 41 mpg in the city, while Ford’s supposed to be 39 mpg. However, its highway rating of 36 mpg is worse than expected. The figure can be expected to be the same for the mercury Milan Hybrid. If true, the referred two cars could cover a remarkable distance of 700 miles on a single tank of gas.

Derrick Kuzak, team vice president, Global Product Development of Ford revealed, “The Ford team set the bar high - to develop America's most fuel efficient mid-size sedan - and that's what they delivered”.

As Ford told the public, the Fusion Hybrids and Milan can travel at a speed up to 48 mph in pure electric mode and that is a faster speed than that of all other hybrids available on the road. Ford represents that some auto journalists could exceed 50 mpg on an urban drive loop, due to the Hybrid's SmartGauge with EcoGuide.

The fuel economy midsize cars will be on sale in America before this summer arrives, costing $25,000 or so.
