The Citroën C4 is a small family car produced by French automaker Citroën since autumn 2004. The C4 was designed to be the successor to the Citroën Xsara. It is mechanically similar to the Peugeot 308, which was launched in 2007. A revised version with new front end, reverse light and dashboard revisions was launched for the 2008/09 model year. In January 2010 it was announced that the Coupe version was to be discontinued in favour of the new Citroën DS4. The C4 came in 2nd place in the 2005 European Car of the Year awards.

At just 4.33m long, 1.79m wide and 1.49m high, New C4 is just 5cm longer, 2cm wider and 3cm taller than the current model. The 408-litre boot is the biggest in its class, with practical square dimensions and a lower sill that makes loading even easier.

To be unveiled at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show, this new model is an emblem for a state-of-mind and a lifestyle. Clearly alluding to leisure and pleasure, it takes a simplified, no-nonsense approach to motoring - without forgetting refinement - and transports passengers to a lighter, fresher world.

The Citroën Lacoste Concept is both resolutely Citroën and typically Lacoste. Positioned at the crossroads of the automotive world, where fashion and sport meet, it makes a number of references to all three sectors. The technology on board also strikes a playful note, underlining the apparent paradox between design expertise and lightness of tone.

For the record, though, the Citroen Lacoste is a sporty compact device with a three-cylinder petrol engine. Weight reduction has been an important target in the design, to the point where there are no separate rear seats - instead, there's a simple bench, which can be slid into the boot if an imaginary owner wants to carry sports equipment in the "cabin".

In the event of rain, a soft-top roof auto-inflates from either side of the backbone above the occupants' heads, a feature which Citroen says is part of the Lacoste's "simple and light-hearted nature".

The DS4 is the second model in Citroen’s new DS range, after the highly successful DS3, and is a platform variant of the new C4, also at Paris. Citroen is hoping it will sprinkle some DS3 magic on the bigger hatch.

An example of truly creative design, Citroen DS4 boldly blends a mix of the most desirable styling references to create an exciting new automotive proposition. Marc Pinson, DS4's chief stylist, comments, "Reinterpreting cues opened up new possibilities, bringing practical and surprising solutions to automotive mobility".

Compact and muscular, the DS signature on the bonnet is complemented by a striking LED light signature around the front fog lights. The LEDs are illuminated both day and night. The eye-catching profile, featuring a chrome-finished waistline surrounding dark tinted windows, is enhanced by muscular wheel arches - that emphasise the large wheels (up to 19") - and is crowned by a tautly drawn roofline with a spoiler for added vitality. The lower part of the rear bumper is finished in chrome and the horizontal detailing on the rear light clusters highlights their innovative boomerang design.

On the tail, the DS4 features a scalloped bumper with neatly integrated exhaust pipe exits.

The interior boasts higher-class materials than in the regular C4 hatch. Liberal use of chrome for the dials, leather on the dash and doors, plus aluminium for the pedals demonstrates the firm’s attention to getting the luxury details right. Buyers will be given the choice of five leather combinations. Top-specification cars feature hide trim designed to mimic expensive watch bracelets linked together. Meanwhile, every variant gets a panoramic windscreen which extends backwards into the roof line and helps bathe the cabin in light.

When it launches in 2012, the DS4 will be available with five powertrain options. Two diesel engines will be available, producing 110 and 160 horsepower, as well as three petrol-sippers, cranking out 120, 155 and 200 horsepower, depending on your need for speed. The three gasoline engines were co-developed with BMW, and the full range of powerplants can be mated to either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

After releasing the new C4 Picasso, a more compact Citroen MPV upcoming, which is C3 Picasso. The new C3 will be launched in the end of 2008 or early 2009. By then, will become the Opel Meriva, Renault Modus, Nissan Note competitors.

The same as C4Picasso and GrandPicasso models, the new C3 Picasso over four meters length, with sufficient internal space, could be applied to a variety of purposes. In addition, C3 Picasso used front windshield directly link the roof, this design so that drivers have a more view, even not aware of the existence of the roof, this design also used on the models of the C4 Picasso .
