Instead of the Lambo’s V-10, the R8 will use a brand-new 4.2-liter FSI V-8 with 430 bhp at the beginning of production, at a price of around $100,000. The 2-seat coupe will hit the U.S. in the summer of 2007 while an open-top, Porsche Carrera-GT-like model will follow in 2008. Auto giant Morgan’s flagship has blown its top! This is the Aeromax SuperSports – a new convertible due on sale in 2010. The Volkswagen Bluesport concept is a self-design roadster powered by a a 180 HP turbodiesel motor. Despite its concept status, VW is promising fairly realistic performance. This includes a 0-60 MPH time of 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 140 MPH. Though not Prius-killing, the 42 MPG combined mileage (we're guessing in the European cycle) is impressive for a sports car and would surely top any known competitors.
